​Program Description:

Entry Level:

​

By the end of the course, students will

  1. have memorized the words from 3K GRE Vocabulary;

  2. have mastered the grammar often involved in the GRE General test and been able to understand long and complex sentences;

  3. have developed a deeper understanding of the differences between English and Chinese;

  4. be able to understand academic discussions at the introductory level of whatever topics;

  5. be able to run graduate-level math operations for analysis;

  6. be able to read and think critically by identifying the fallacies in others’ argument

  7. be able to write a full argument independently with substantive supporting details.

Intermediate Level:

​

By the end of the course, students will

  1. have memorized the words from 3K GRE Vocabulary;

  2. be able to segment and understand long and complex sentences;

  3. be able to segment and understand an academic essay at the introductory level;

  4. be able to understand academic discussions at the introductory level of whatever topics;

  5. be able to run graduate-level math operations for analysis;

  6. be able to read and think critically by identifying the fallacies in others’ argument

  7. be able to write a full argument independently with substantive supporting details and a convincing counterargument

Advanced Level:

​

By the end of the course, students will

  1. have memorized the words from 3K GRE Vocabulary and almost no unknown words in a GRE test;

  2. be able to segment and understand long and complex sentences;

  3. be able to understand the logic of academic writings of whatever disciplines;

  4. be able to run graduate-level math operations for analysis;

  5. be able to read and think critically;

  6. be able to write a full argument quickly and independently with substantive supporting details, convincing counterarguments, which inspires thinking of higher values

  1. have mastered all the words from GMAT Vocabulary Collection and be able to use these words in writing (input and output);

  2. have mastered the grammar often involved in the GMAT test and been able to understand long and complex sentences easily to further extract the specific information;

  3. have developed a deeper understanding of the differences between English and Chinese;

  4. be able to understand academic discussions at the introductory level of whatever topics;

  5. be able to run graduate-level math operations for analysis;

  6. be able to read and think critically by identifying the fallacies in others’ argument and write a critical analysis of it
