Program Description:
Learning Outcomes:
Entry Level:
By the end of the course, students will
-
have memorized the words from Barron’s SAT Vocabulary;
-
have mastered the grammar of written English and be able to identify the grammar mistakes while reading;
-
be able to read and comprehend the main idea of English articles of whatever topics published on the commonplace periodicals;
-
be able to operate math calculations to solve theoretical and practical college-entry-level math problems;
-
be able to analyze an argumentative writing and make comments accordingly.
Intermediate Level:
By the end of the course, students will
-
have memorized the words from Barron’s SAT Vocabulary;

have mastered the grammar of written English and be able to identify the grammar mistakes while reading;
-
be able to read and comprehend English articles of whatever topics published on the commonplace periodicals;
-
be able to tell the denotations and connotations of certain words or phrases in a source text;
-
be able to analyze an argumentative writing and make comments with cohesion and coherence.
Advanced Level:
By the end of the course, students will
-
have mastered all the words from Barron’s SAT Vocabulary;

have mastered the grammar of written English and be able to identify and correct the grammar mistakes while reading;
-
be able to read and comprehend English articles of whatever topics published on the commonplace periodicals;

develop a deeper understanding of the US history and ideology;
-
be able to solve college-entrance-level math efficiently and accurately;
-
be able to analyze an argumentative writing effectively and make comments with cohesion and coherence.
